- It is recommended to do this over a fast internet connection, e.g., the NPS wired network. Using wireless if fine, but may take more time.
From a terminal window, update Ubuntu package lists from repositories and the upgrade the system packages. This will likely download a significant amount of data depending on how long ago the system was updated. This will take some time.
- You may get a prompt to configure the grub bootloader. The screens are shown below.
- Select the first option, which should be "/dev/sda" by placing the cursor there and pressing the space bar
- Press Tab to got to OK
- Press Enter to continue
- Restart the computer
