The Undergraduate Research Opportunities Center (UROC) trains, supports, and engages students in undergraduate research. UROC students work on relevant and innovative research projects at regional research institutions. Their work is guided by a research mentor and is supported by extensive training in research proposal writing, presentation skills, communication skills, professionalism, and graduate school preparedness. Students are also given the opportunity to communicate their work to the academic community through presentations and publications. Taken together, these experiences prepare the students for successful academic or professional careers.
The Naval Postgraduate School hosted 4 UROC interns during the summer of 2013. For more information on this program, visit http://uroc.csumb.edu/.
